Why create a new URL rewriting provider?
When the native DNN rewriting provider manipulates parameters in urls, Friendlier URL Provider manipulates elements from the rewritten url - called "rewrite groups" - in order to give complete freedom to achieve better SEO.
What does it look like?

- Easily install, activate, uninstall the module on a page
- Edit patterns - made of rewrite groups - thanks to a user-friendly API (see above)
- A default pattern is provided. You can edit and change groups in order to obtain the pattern you want to be applied to a single portal, page or module
- As administrator, you can keep control on the rewriting process and disable url rewritting
- 301 redirect enabled: permanently redirects all your urls to the friendlier version.
