DotNetNuke 4.6.2+ compliant module
LuceneSearch is a powerful Search engine based on the Lucene.Net engine which can perform advanced searches on portals and index contents very finely.
You can:
- Choose the types of content you want to index, depending on the module that exposes them, and which types can be searched by users
- Decide on which page to display the results of your search
- Index and search contents in PDF documents and of any other type of document, provided you have installed the corresponding "IFilter"
- Provide your users with a "fuzzy search" by default on the whole portal, and set the approximation value
- Index contents as rich as you want, when you install the modules that provide this rich content
Your visitors can:
- Launch a simple search from anywhere on the portal.
- Use the advanced search interface, enabling them to:
- Launch searches on specific types of content rather than indifferently on the whole portal.
- Perform a fuzzy search (by approximate words) or an exact word search, search for at least one word among a set, or search for all words, or even for an exact expression.
- Choose the language of the research.
This module encompasses indexing and search providers that replace native DotNetNuke ones. Module providers of richer indexing content are offered in this package for 3 DotNetNuke searchable modules: Documents, Repository and Forum.
