Hi Peter,
Lucene.Net was upgraded recently, which had an impact on the LuceneSearch module and forced us to some adjustements which are about to be completed. Sorry for the delay, the new version should be out by Wednesday.
Hi, The new version of Aricie.LuceneSearch is available on download section. You must install the new version of our components Aricie.Shared.
did you install the new release of the module? Is your issue fixed? Don't hesitate to provide feedback.
Best regards
Hi Thomas,
I upgraded my install with the two modules (common and search), installed lucene again. upon re-indexing I get the following error:
Error: Search Admin is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Input string was not in a correct format. ---> System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at System.Number.StringToNumber(String str, NumberStyles options, NumberBuffer& number, NumberFormatInfo info, Boolean parseDecimal) at System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) at System.Int16.Parse(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) at System.Convert.ToInt16(String value) at Lucene.Net.Documents.DateTools.StringToDate(String dateString) at Aricie.DNN.Modules.LuceneSearch.Business.PortalIndexingDriver.GetPubDateDictionnary() at Aricie.DNN.Modules.LuceneSearch.Business.LuceneIndexer.GetSearchIndexItems(Int32 portalID) at DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngine.GetContent(IndexingProvider Indexer) at DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngine.IndexContent() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Search.SearchAdmin.cmdReIndex_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
Hopefully this is helpful...

I reckon this is caused by incompatible date formats between the version of Lucene used in the former module version (2.4ish) and the new one (2.9.2).
Simply delete the former Lucene index folder, which should be underneath Portals/_default, and it will rebuild ok.
In the mean time, we'll make sure to make that operation automatic through IUpgradeable in the next version.
Thanks, that did it.
Settings can be saved now.
