Works with Localization Extensions?

Hi,

I installed the trial of your FriendlyURL provider and I'm impressed!

But I couldn't get them to work with Localization Extensions (http://www.adequation-dotnetnuke.com/en/Modules/Localization-Extensions/Overview.aspx)

Does anyone have experience with this configuration ?

Robrecht

Re: Works with Localization Extensions?

Hi, can you be more specific on your issue? What is your version of DNN? Thanks.

Re: Works with Localization Extensions?

I did a clean install (DNN v5.4.2), installed localisation extensions. Created two language pages (EN and NL), activated the extensions.  Everything working fine.

Then I installed your Friendlier URL provider.  When I activate it I can't reach my homepages anymore.  I used the default settings.

When I deactivated it, everything worked fine again.

I tried various other settings, but no success.

Have you done installations where they work together?

Re: Works with Localization Extensions?

Robrecht, we are looking at your issue right away. FUP works fine with multilingual sites and supports localization extensions. What is your version of the module? What is the rule you are using? Thanks.

Re: Works with Localization Extensions?
Hello,
Could you give me the FUP version you used?
Could you send us the rule which is applied to your portal?
It works with localisation activated without problem on our website so it maybe a settings problem. Did you activate FUP before installing the language pack or after ? If you try to access you homepage with the unrewritten url (like mywebsite.com/default.aspx?tabid=xx&language=en-us), does it work and does FUP make the redirection ?

Re: Works with Localization Extensions?

Hi,

Aricie.FriendlierUrlProvider works fine with the module Localisation extensions. There's no specific configuration.
What is the link that you use to switch languages ?

Re: Works with Localization Extensions?

Hi,

Thank you very much for the feedback. We have noticed that the Localisation extensions do work with the aricie module.
Further investigation pointed out that the issue might have to do something with this module: http://www.laborion.com/en/Projects/DNN-Module-LE_Laborion_LanguageSelector

Laborion language selector is a great module where you can link your different language pages with eachother and you can use his language selector to go to the translated version of that page.

Take a look ;) ..

Regards,
Robrecht
