    www.domain.com/virtualDirectory/default.aspx = portal0, shortest length alias, etc

www.domain.com/virtualDirectory/portals/customers/bigbuyer/default.aspx = portal55, one of many, notice the default.aspx if nested in the portal home directory also

portal0 results look great. Permissions are obeyed & everything is fine.

portal55 results include its own in addition to portal0's results. I have not confirmed if permissions are being obeyed.

Are the index "partitions/scopes" being stored according to the portal home directories, portalAliases, or some other top down structure?

If this cross-portal result set is a feature, you would think it would work from the top-down instead of the top-up. I'm confused.

      Hello G,

There should be a clear separation between portal documents; unless there is a bug in the indexation process they are indexed in different directories. Could you have a look at the index folder set in the Indexer Settings on both portals? If possible (depending on size, mainly), could you zip both Lucene index and send them so i can have a look at what is indexed?

      Best regards,

      Samy
