Customize lucene search module

Hello,

I have downloaded and installed the lucene search module and now I want to customize it by modifying the source code. The trouble is that I can't get it to work with VS 2012. If I want to modify it and release a published version, how can I proceed?

Hi Lou,
did you get the latest source code from Codeplex? You then can personnalize any part of the module, including the layouts of the search and results panels.

Hello,

Yes, I have downloaded the latest source code. Customizing the module should not be a problem. The thing is that I can't get to release a published version to be installed on my dnn website. Could you help me for that please?

Hi,
The source version available on codeplex needs that you include it directly in the "DesktopModules" folder to modify it after you've installed the release package. Compile module assemblies in the website bin folder.
We don't provide a custom build to automaticaly package a release.
If you need to publish a release, you have to package it yourself using the extensions page of your website and the current modules manifest.
