    Hi there!

I'd like to have some instructions on Simple Rewrites usage. The tooltip says: "You can define here a list of individual replacements by entering pairs of original urls and their friendly counterpart. The original urls need to be presented automatically once to the urls engine before their mapped friendly urls become available."

...well it doesn't appear so clear to me to understand...

Should the pairs be separated by comma ? Or just by a space?

What is the format of original url? www.somesite.com/tabid/44/language/en/Default.aspx ? Or an original url is something like this: www.somesite.com/Default.aspx?tabid=44&language=en

Could you please give me some complete examples?

    Thanks.

    G.Z.

       Hi,

To add a simple rewrite rule, you just have to fill the first text box with the original url (The original url are format like this : www.somesite.com/Default.aspx?tabid=44&language=en).

Then click on the "New Mapping" link button. A second textbox will appear. Fill it with your rewrite url.

Save the FUP configuration. You have finish to set the simple rewrite rule but the rewrite url isn't in the store yet. You have to load a page where a link of the original url is. When FUP will rewrite this url, he will use your simple rewrite rule.

      Best regards,
