Hello.. me again,
I've been trying to improve the appearance of the pages when they are not zoomed in. Ovviously, if the smaller images are sized to exactly the size of the pages, then they won't appear all pixelated.
There is the option to physically resize the images and I have been testing that. This is what happens when I have the page size set to 450x600:
So, the net result of the above is that the physical resize option is having trouble creating image files.
The Windows Application log shows this:
An unhandled exception occurred and the process was terminated.
Application ID: /LM/W3SVC/14/ROOT

Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

What do you think.. is this fixable? I'm running this on DNN4.9.5 on IIS7 in 32 bit Classic mode in case it matters.
Regards, Rob

Thanks for your valuable feedback on the module. We are currently looking at your issue with the resize option.
Aricie Team
Thanks for the update Tom.
Just to follow this up...
If the resizing issue is able to be fixed, I'm wondering if it is also possible to increase the maximum size of the zoomed image. It currently is 750px, which is not quite big enough to read our newsletter comfortably.  If the maximum could go as high as 1000px, that would solve it.
I'm planning on going live in a couple of weeks and so, if I can help development of any of my suggestions from this and the other threads along by purchasing a couple of extra subscriptions, I can do so as I have a small budget set aside for a page flipping tool.
Kind regards, Rob
Hello Rob,
indeed, we would really appreciate your contributing to the module. For an extra $50, you will get a Gold membership which will give you access to the source code of Pageflip. From there, you can add value as you please.
Would that suit you?
CAn you give us a roadmap for the evolutions you plan to make?
Regards
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
Sorry, I'm afraid I'm not a developer and cannot code. I meant I could contribute some money if it would help development along a bit.
I have to decide whether or not I can go live with this before the end of the month, and currently the main issue is the resizing bug, and perhaps the maximum width limit. If it's not going to be changed or developed for a while, then I need to find an alternative quickly. That's really what I need to know.
Thanks for any further information, Regards Rob
