It looks like you managed to install the module correctly since you can access the indexing settings. Regarding integration of LuceneSearch with DMX, could you please send us the version number of the DMX module you're using. There is a breaking change between version 5 and version 6 which could explain why your documents are not properly processed.
Could you also look in the event log of your DotNetNuke installation to see if you can find the errors that are related to the search indexer and DMX? If so, could you copy them here so we can analyze what poses the problem in depth?
